This week’s Episode: The Unexpected Storm

This was a shoot where I almost lost my camera, due to an unexpected storm that arrived during the night and was still there for my sunrise shoot. I still managed to capture some stunning shots of an incredible location and the one I chose to edit was one of the many long exposures that I took. Normally, I’m not a big fan of man-made structures, but many work very well when the conditions are right, This pier and jetty were one of those I feel. I took the shot and knew upon reviewing that I had a good one, it was all right in the camera so editing wouldn’t be a major challenge. I just needed to bring out the colour in the sky to make it pop. The resulting image brings out the pastel colour that I saw and felt while on location and the long exposure works well.
