This week’s Episode: The Hidden Gem

In this episode, I take you through how I edited the shot to bring out the detail in the water and control the light. The sun was in my shot so this would naturally be the brightest part of the image, in fact it is the brightest thing we know, so of course it would blow the highlights, but I wanted to tame it as well as bring out he detail in the cliffs. I take a selective approach to the edit, mainly only slight adjustments to preserve the details and enhance the natural textures on the rocks and the water. I like how this shot turned out, it brings back the memories of finding this hidden gem along Ireland's Atlantic Coast and I want to go back there again for a storm as I think the waves will be insane.
