This week’s Episode: ONE SHOT

If you have seen the video from this adventure you will know just how beautiful the location was and also that even though it was stunning, it needed one thing to make it come to life, and that was light. So when we finally did get the light I was delighted to see it. Bernard also shared with me a couple of shots he had taken previously which did a great job at showing how the scene pops when the light arrives. Editing a Sony file is no different to editing a canon or Nikon file except one thing I noticed immediately was the size of the file in terms of MB’s. It was 123 MB v’s my file of 35 MB, This would mean that I should have a lot more data to play with, however, I didn’t really need it as I opted to edit my shot from the day. The image was exposed well and was sharp throughout so I was able to edit it with ease. and to be fair the edit could have been done by pressing the auto settings on Lightroom. I however took my usual approach to the file plus I used some new presets from Australian Photographer William Patino, to show exactly how versatile this approach can be and you can see exactly what that was in the accompanying video linked below.
